Most of the Magento stores have a 'Contact us' form or 'Query' form for the customers to submit their queries or issues to the merchant.
If a customer submits a query and does not receive a proper and timely response, regarding his query/ issue, he might get frustrated. This may lead to the loss of an esteemed customer.
In native Magento, the merchant can not send the customer an instant reply automatically. But, with the help of this extension, an instant automatic email is sent to the customer mentioning the receiving of his query/ issue along with estimated response time.
When the customer knows that his query will be responded within a stipulated period, he will be more relaxed and satisfied.
Let's take an example:
- Your team works between 8 AM to 5 PM and your average response time is 1 hour. Now, if a customer submits the contact form on your store at 1 PM, then he/she will receive an automatic email stating that they can expect a response within 1 hour today.
- Now consider if the customer submits the query after 5 PM, then he will receive an autoresponder email that will contain the availability status and expected response time i.e 9 AM next working day.
Also, this Magento 2 extension is integrated with the ‘Contact us’ form by default. However, other forms can also be integrated with this extension.
- With this extension, you can select the time format between 12 and 24 hours.
- It supports your store's time zone as configured in the admin. The emails are sent according to the configured time zone.
- The autoresponder email can be edited from the admin panel as per your requirements.
The extension settings are located under admin path Store > Configuration > RedChamps > Smart Autoresponder
